IMAGINE - Jamaica’s Global Nation(al) Brand By and For Jamaicans!
Findlay House Global is recruiting for Community (Parish) Champions for a World Bank-funded project assignment Development of a Nation Brand Strategy and Brand Identity in Jamaica. The objective is to develop an overall Nation(al) Brand Strategy for Jamaica, that targets a global audience in a way that is inspirational to Jamaican nationals and drives global awareness and commerce for Jamaica.
Findlay House Global is one of six companies that has been shortlisted for this assignment (“Likkle but wi tallawa”).
This will be a paid position BUT is contingent upon FHG winning the final contract award.

Community (Parish) Champions are key Findlay House Global Nation Brand project team members.
Community Champions support the implementation of Findlay House Global’s Re-Power Development® approach to community engagement and participation by helping to establish rapport with Jamaicans locally and/or in the diaspora.
A Community Champion works to identify the needs and necessary resources to move engagement forward so that Jamaicans both at home and abroad can contribute their voice to the creation of Jamaica’s national brand strategy.
Our goal as a project team, led by our Jamaican, Founder and Principal Consultant) is to create a Nation(al) brand that is truly designed by and for Jamaicans (“Jamaica for Jamaicans”)!
Community Champions play an important role by helping us to ensure that voices of ‘ordinary’ Jamaicans (“the people,” especially those in rural areas who have been traditionally excluded) are centred and amplified in this Nation(al) brand creation process!
Community Champion(s) will:
Leverage their existing personal network of Jamaican citizens and Jamaicans within the diaspora (to include schools, churches, businesses
Ensure that engagement and participation activities are aligned with FHG’s commitment to ethics and excellence
Organise and facilitate focus groups
Conduct intercept and one-on-one interviews
Engage in relationship building and communication
Upload and enter data
Complete reports on engagement activities
YOUR EXPERIENCE (QUALIFICATIONS)
Large network that includes Jamaican nationals and/or Jamaicans living abroad (to include neighbors, school contacts, church contacts, business contacts, etc.)
Deep connections in/to one or more of Jamaica’s 14 parishes
2+ years or more demonstrable experience in coordinating and facilitating meetings, trainings, workshops, etc.
Experience in interviewing people
Reliable transportation
Excellent communications and presentation skills
Data entry skills
All candidates should demonstrate a willingness to learn and be coached, and have leadership and relationship management experience.
This is a part-time position, contingent upon contract award.
