Re-Powering
Sustainable Development Goals
Driving Local Action
On Global Goals Through People-Centered Partnerships.
At Findlay House Global (FHG), sustainable development starts with people — not just policies. Our Re-Power Development® approach doesn’t stop at aligning with the SDGs; it makes them practical, measurable, and lasting. We partner with governments, funders, NGOs, and organizations working closely with communities to bridge the gap between global frameworks and real-world outcomes.
From listening to action, we re-power what’s possible.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Our consultants use our Re-Power Development® approach to bridge global goals with local realities—delivering impact across six priority areas:
-
SDGs 16, 17
We partner with governments and funders to build public trust and strengthen participation. Whether through public engagement strategies, facilitation, or policy co-design, we ensure that governance reflects people—not just procedures. -
SDGs 4, 8, 10
Young people can lead change now. Through leadership academies like Y.O.U.R. Development™ and intergenerational organizing, we equip youth to influence governance and access dignified work. Our programs unlock potential and amplify youth voice in decision-making. -
SDG 3
We address trauma, toxic stress, and behavioral barriers to progress by integrating mental health into development strategies. From art-based summits to trauma-informed parenting and workforce training, we create communities where people can connect and thrive. We also consider the social determinants of health—factors like social connectedness, economic stability, and supportive community networks. By strengthening resilience at both the individual and community level, we help ensure that mental health is not treated in isolation but as a foundation for sustainable development.
-
SDGs 3, 5
We strengthen maternal and child health through culturally appropriate strategies and community-driven IEC campaigns. Our work improves service access, awareness, and outcomes by blending participatory planning with local capacity building. We also address community risk and resilience factors—recognizing that health outcomes are shaped by more than clinics or policies. By integrating social determinants of health such as mental health, social connectedness, and community support systems, we help build environments where mothers, children, and families can thrive.
-
SDGs 4, 8, 10
We bridge the gap between education and employment. Through vocational pathway design, workforce assessments, and entrepreneurship initiatives, we help communities co-create economic strategies that prioritize equity, access, and relevance. -
SDGs 5, 10, 16
We help institutions dismantle structural barriers to equity. From gender-responsive policy design to participatory research—we ensure development efforts center all people, not just include them.
Our work touches all 17 SDGs, but these three capture our central commitments:
-
Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
Target 3.4
By 2030, reduce by one third premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being.
Target 3.7
By 2030, ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health-care services, including for family planning, information and education, and the integration of reproductive health into national strategies and programmes.
-
Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Target 4.4
By 2030, substantially increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship
Target 4.7
By 2030, ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development, including, among others, through education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity and of culture’s contribution to sustainable development
-
Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development; provide access to justice for all; and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
Target 16.6
Develop effective, accountable and transparent institutions at all levels
Target 16.7
Ensure responsive, inclusive, participatory and representative decision-making at all levels
Target 16.10
Ensure public access to information and protect fundamental freedoms, in accordance with national legislation and international agreements
Target 16.b

How We Bridge the Global-Local Gap
We don’t apply SDGs from the top down—we localize them through context-specific planning, facilitation, and co-creation. Every engagement is designed to produce outcomes that are practical, measurable, and lasting—turning global goals into results people can see and feel.
Let’s Align Your Mission with the SDGs
Whether you’re a funder, government agency, or grassroots NGO, we’ll help you turn global goals into local outcomes that matter.
