The Situation
Mental health challenges, mental illness, and suicide are serious public health problems. Problems that have been compounded all the more with the COVID-19 pandemic.
In order to successfully address these public health issues, communities must consider the contributing factors (including economic and environmental stressors) that impact mental and emotional well-being and use preventative strategies to promote mental health, address health disparities, and build resilient communities.
Did you know in the United States alone, $280 billion is spent on mental health every year? Still, many people, especially those who are marginalized, struggle to get the help they need.
Art Works™ is an interactive mental health summit that helps to break the stigma around mental well-being by helping communities understand and support each other better.
What is ?
Art Works™
a fully customizable,
interactive mental health summit.
Make a difference in your community’s mental health landscape.
In many communities, art works as a free and/or low-cost preventative, and at this community-centered summit it becomes a powerful tool for self-discovery and healing.
Through engaging, hands-on breakout sessions and honest, meaningful dialogue—in partnership with licensed professionals from the community—Art Works™ creates a space where understanding and acceptance of mental wellness can flourish, particularly in traditionally underserved communities.
Participants leave the summit not just inspired, but equipped with the tools and insights to design and seek out their own mental health solutions.
