Art Works Master Mind™ gives adults a step-by-step way to guide creative moments that help children make sense of strong feelings and build resilience.
Each Art Works Master Mind™ activity creates shared moments between adults and children through art, movement, color, and conversation. These moments help children make sense of what they feel and how their bodies respond—especially when its difficult to put into words.
Through these guided moments, children are encouraged to:
• express emotions in safe, constructive ways
• pause and notice their feelings before reacting
• release tension through creative activity
• stay connected with trusted adults in tough times
Over time, these creative practices become familiar tools children return to when feelings get intense.
No need for perfect words or expert training.
Just small, thoughtful practices that help build habits of awareness, care, and connection over time.
Children Are Carrying More Than We Can See
Today’s children are growing up in a fast-moving world shaped by social pressures
and the constant presence of digital environments.
Across homes and classrooms, many of us are noticing the same shift. Feelings like anxiety, sadness, and loneliness are showing up earlier and earlier—even when things seem mostly fine. Children are carrying stress before they have the words for it.
Most of us don’t want to wait until something feels wrong.
We want children to learn how to handle frustration, disappointment, and social pressure —
BEFORE those experiences feel overwhelming.
Families and schools are not looking for crisis solutions. We’re looking for ways to build strong emotional foundations early — so children have safe ways to express themselves, stay connected, and cope when life gets hard. But in the middle of busy days that can be difficult to consistently.
We want to respond with patience, wisdom, and calm presence.
Still, many of us find ourselves wondering:
Am I doing enough to support the children in my care?
How do I help children build healthy ways to express what they feel now — so they are better prepared later?
And with everything else already on my plate... Where do I even begin?

Resilience Is Built One Small Moment at a Time
Stress doesn’t start in adulthood.
Neither does resilience.
Resilience doesn’t suddenly show up in challenging moments.
Thankfully, children can build this skill gradually — in everyday moments that help them pause, notice what they feel, and stay connected to trusted adults.
Creative expression offers a simple way to explore feelings and how they show up in the body and mind.
Talking while drawing.
These moments are not about artistic skill.
They are about expression and care.
Moving the body to release tension.
These experiences are a part of how we make sense of what we are carrying and help us to remain connected to one another during challenging moments. They make space for understanding without pressure to explain everything right away.
Reflecting together after a difficult day.
And when shared with a trusted adult, these experiences can help children recognize emotions, release stress in safe ways, and stay connected even when situations feel overwhelming.
Children are navigating social pressure, online influence, and busy schedules earlier than ever before.
Intentional moments of reflection and creativity offer a steady foundation they can carry into more challenging situations.
Support doesn’t need to be complicated. Over time, shared creative experiences help children make sense of their emotions and respond with greater calm and confidence. They remind us that strong feelings don’t have to be carried alone, and that trusted relationships can offer support and care when it’s needed.
Created From Real Work with Children, Families, and Schools
The Art Works Master Mind™ box grew out of years of creative well-being experiences facilitated by Findlay House Global in partnership with schools, families, and community partners.
We are parents and community practitioners who have seen firsthand how stress and emotional well-being shape everyday life — in homes, classrooms, and communities.
Over time, we began hearing the same question from parents and educators: How can these experiences continue beyond a single event—and reach more children?
In response, we expanded them across school and community settings.
700+
Young People
Our Art Works™ activities have now engaged over 700 young people across elementary through high school settings.
Invited Back
By Schools
Many schools and youth programs invited the experience back after noticing that children continued using creative expression tools long after the sessions ended.
Shifts at Home
Families Noticed
Families began noticing similar shifts at home. Parents shared that participating helped them feel more comfortable opening conversations about emotional well-being at home.

Small Moments Today Shape More Resilient People and Stronger Communities Tomorrow
When children have safe ways to express what they are carrying, families grow closer and conversations become easier.
In classrooms and youth settings, shared understanding leads to calmer interactions, greater patience, and a stronger sense of belonging.
Over time, these everyday moments help children develop the confidence and awareness they need to face challenges,
stay connected to others, and care for themselves.
As these habits take root, their impact extends beyond individual children — shaping relationships, strengthening learning environments, and contributing to more supportive and resilient communities.
Art Works Master Mind™ helps adults begin creating these moments—one shared experience at a time.
